Dj Hero 2 Turntable Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

We just got the game today and we set up everything fine. So we get into the tutorials and the turntable ons arnt being read or picked up but the mixer part is fine. We checked it to be connected properly and new batteries. What do i do?
