Do i forgive my friend?!?

my friend aaron is so great but he started smoking. now hes ditchin me for smoking. he showed up on my doorstep with flowers in a suit an sang a song to me about how hes sorry. im afraid if i forgive him he will do it again. hes done stuff like this before but not like this. plz i need help!!
