Femcon Fe and cramps.?

I have started Femcon Fe to regulate my periods. I started bleeding in the middle of the third week. I know that this is early but can happen when I first start with birth control. I have also noticed some pretty bad cramps that I had not been experiencing. Has anyone else had this happen? I have taken over the counter pain relievers like Aleve but they still don't go away completely.
