Is it save to seal cracks inside a rice warmer with adhesive aluminum foil?

I'm uming this is the non-stick aluminum pot that most rice pots come with. Once the seal of the non-stick is broken, it is toxic and no longer safe to use for cooking. The non-stick coating is only recommended when it is still in tact, once it chips chuck it and find a new set. Aluminum pots in itself is linked to alzheimers and using tape in a cooking pot is never a good idea.
